I know this is a big problem with a lot of Christians. This is something the enemy has always done. You are raised by your parents and you love them and you want to make them proud. One day you get saved and God calls you for a BIG calling for His glory, BUT theres a problem!! Youre parents arent supportive of it! You dont know what to do anymore! You dont wanna make your parents trip, but you also dont want to disappoint God! What do you do? Your parents want you to do one thing, but God is pulling you somewhere else! Its frustrating! You try to find a way and it failed! You wish you could do it but somehow when a door opened it slammed shut on your face!! It happened to me. You see I got this music ministry and my parents say to go to school and get a real study! Something that will be secure for life. I tried going to school because I wanted them to think of me as someone who obeys not a failure. I couldnt focus while I was there tho! I was so focused on the ministry it was too hard to do anything else! Its frustrating cuz a lot of ppl say they support you but they have their own ministry so of course they cant really help you out. It sucks I felt like nothing worked. Ive wanted to throw in the towel. But you know what has made me stay strong thru it all? Its not cool music videos, or music. Its not anything other than God! He gave me a dream and that dream can never die! He gave me a future that seems so HUGE! You see Im not stopping because I can see the finish line! Thru all this chaos I can see God! I remember His promises! Its hard cuz family tell me stuff, friends say stuff sometimes, and the enemy too! But you know what? Nowadays what is really secure? Theres so many ppl studying to be physical therapist, or a medical assistant. So many Tryna be a rapper. Singer. Anything, just think about it! What is a secure job nowadays? The end is near! Theres nothing secure in this world! God says to store your treasures in heaven NOT here! So yea I may DISAPPOINT some family members, or friends. But I gotta obey God no matter what! God says anyone that doesnt hate their mother or father or sister or brother is not worthy of me. Now dont get it twisted hes not saying to hate ppl. What Hes saying is, your love for God should be SO DEEP FOR HIM, that if you compared it to anyone else it would look like hate. Think about it. If you obey one then youre disobeying the other so it would look like hate. So honestly Im just gonna follow God and if my music goes somewhere great, if it doesnt thats great too. Cuz it was never about us. But thank God for your salvation! Your grace is sufficient for me Lord!
