I know this is a lengthy read, but it is what the Creator gave me this morning and as I began to follow the thought He gave me into developed into this lengthy read. Is Jesus in the Godhead or is the Godhead In Jesus Many moons ago a bunch of religious leaders got together at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. and later at the Council of Trent around 1545 A.D. to argue about who God is and what He is. What God says about Himself in the Book did not matter. The problem with it all was no one was asking God who and what He is and the decisions arrived at that day continue to wield their influence among the many religious groups today. While millions are accepting the Lord few are seeking God, the Creator, for His revelation of who He is. Matt.28 [18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Jesus could not have said this unless He was the human manifestation of the invisible Spirit we call Creator. Throughout the Old Testament references to the Great Creator were titles, but there was no name given to call Creator by. We were taught to respect life and all life-giving things and we could see and experience God’s creation. It gave us a perception of who He is by what we saw and experienced through our prayers, but we only had titles for Him, such as Great Spirit, Great Mystery, Creator and so forth. Matt.1 [23] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. The title “Emmanuel” meant “God with us.” It was mentioned one time and Jesus was never referred to as Emmanuel again. But it is written: Col.3 [17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. King James interpreters made were in error when it came to the Greek word for “and.” In the Greek it also meant “even.” So we could say, and I will, that “giving thanks to God even the Father by who? Jesus Christ! John.8 [12] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. [13] The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. [14] Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. [15] Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. [16] And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. [17] It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. [18] I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. [19] Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. [20] These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. [21] Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. [22] Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. [23] And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. [24] I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. [25] Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. [26] I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. [27] They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. [28] Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. [29] And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. [30] As he spake these words, many believed on him. [31] Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Acts.4 [1] And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, [2] Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. [3] And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide. [4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand. [5] And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes, [6] And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. [7] And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? [8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, [9] If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; [10] Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. head of the corner. [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [13] Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. No wonder the Apostles and disciples baptized converts in the name of Jesus Christ. The baptism had to be authentic and it could not be authentic when reference was given to the Creator in titles. Even John who wrote the last chapter of Revelations writing under the influence of the Spirit wrote identifying who it was he was visiting with in the spirit world. He wrote “Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly!” So then, Jesus must have had the authority to also say, John.14 [6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The reference to Father in this Scripture is in reference to the Creator and Mastermind and Ruler of the Universe we live in. No wonder Paul wrote: Philemon.1 [9] Yet for loves sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. Paul was a prisoner by choice not because of any coercion. 1Cor.2 [2] For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Jesus questioned Peter: Mark.8 [27] And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? [28] And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. [29] And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. “Thou art the Christ” is identifying Jesus as the Messiah, the Savior of the world. If we are to know salvation we must know Jesus Christ. His Grace is sufficient for each of us in all things.
