I know this is a long way off, but I am looking for a bedroom in a house or a one bedroom place for January. I have a well behaved, short haired kitty who will be sharing the space with me. I can pay between $400-$700, although the upward ranges would have to include most utilities. I am moving from Edmonton to live in Victoria for at least a year to pursue studying yoga and herbalism, as well as take a break from the harsh climate that I no longer want to subject myself to. To get all that may be problematic off the bat: I work toward being politically engaged and try my best to practice anti-oppression. I am a queer and would love to live with other queers and active allies. I bike for transportation, play music, read, write and range between quiet and introverted to being very social. Spirituality is important to me, but no dogmas, please. Restoring ecological balance, social justice, grassroots community organizing, and working toward decolonization are vital to my values and while we dont have to agree on the finer points, I hope to find others to work with on these giant, overwhelming goals, even if just through conversation while doing housework. I currently support myself with house cleaning for $$ and make my own all-natural cleaners (in fact, theyre things that are good for you!). I am looking for others who want to make it into a co-op. I want to live intentionally with others who are genuinely interested in making space in their lives to share house and yard/garden work, who try their best to communicate healthfully, (read: assertively), and who try to live well, but not too much in any extreme.
