I know this is not a popular stance right now - but I still wonder, where are the protests for the Officers who are being killed? Where is the media flashing the story in nearly every report? Where is the outrage? Where is the verbal rhetoric? Where is the care for their loved ones left behind? It is where it has long been - in the hearts of other officers and their loved ones. These lives matter also. The majority of Officers are good people, doing their job to support the laws of the country, taking care of a lot of others without public notice or acclaim, because they shun the publicity. Sadly, yes, a few should not be allowed to have authority or wear the uniform. But that is only a minority.But those are the ones that are getting all the attention, while the anger over their behavior is pointed toward nearly every person wearing a uniform - mostly a group of men and women who put their lives on the line every day as they live their calling to protect and serve. Yet they are the ones also bearing the brunt of societys anger and being targeted for violence.
