I know this is small...but its my first online sale with fineartamerica dot com. It brought a smile to my face. (Mind you, I didnt make much, nor will I get rich on it, but its a start and I am thankful for it!) Oh, someone purchased a card with this painting on it. I created the painting years ago and donated it to Art for A.C.T. ACT stands for Abuse and Counseling Treatment and once a year they would have a huge gala of a fundraiser and local artists, up to international artists and also school kids would donate artwork to help raise money for abused kids, women and men as well. It also helped for their therapy and housing. Many Hollywood stars would come in to partake in the auction, like Lily Tomlin, and Sharon Stone to name two. Robert Rauschenberg was a major contributor. One year his painting sold for $88,000. Yeah, you read that right...and now guess who they did the write up on? ME! Haha...the painting that year (not the one below, but another), went for $125.00. BUT...the lady writing the article said mine conveyed the point of the nights theme best. Whoo-hoo!
