I know this is sort of late notice….I have been really wrestling with some things the past couple of months, but I feel like I finally know what to do. So…. Let me start with letting you know that Letty Maes will be closed Fourth of July week, July 1-5. For the past couple years, my daughter Kayla and several of our employees have been a part of a missions trip through Fox River Church to Guatamala. During this trip, they minister to the people and especially the children in this country. They work with one of the local churches to help build homes and stoves for the people there who are in great need. This year almost half of our employees will be taking part in this trip, which is why we will be closed. I struggled with this decision for some time, as losing a weeks sales in summertime is not an easy thing to do. But after much prayer (and honestly, some complaining), I felt God was saying to me to Let the people go. Funny, right? Ya, well while I was laughing He also said to send them off with a blessing. Really God? Yep. So the week before the trip, we will be giving 20% of our sales to the Guatamala mission. We would love it if you would come and support us during this week as we prepare for this trip. I would also ask for your prayers and even financial support if you feel led to do so. I will be going with them this year (my FIRST missions trip!) and will be taking all of my kids with me as well. This is a real leap of faith for me, but I feel like it will be a great experience for ALL of us…I know this trip has been life-changing for my daughter Kayla.
