I know this isnt technical Old School but it does have some aspects in it so just bare with my rant if you dont mind.... Why Brock ending the streak is the worst possible thing for wrestling fans and all the wrestlers who bust their asses on a daily basis..... Brock debuted and was instant pushed hard because of his size, strength and his amateur wrestling background giving us a new, fresh champion instead of over and over trading the title among past champions. Brock became the next big thing having great feuds with Kurt Angle and The Undertaker to name a few and reached the top of the business within 4-5 months after being called up from OVW. For all the faith and hard work put into Brock, what does he do? He decides he wants out of his contract to go play football because he doesnt like the travel schedule! Vince and everyone backstage were pissed but they let him out of his contract. He failed miserably in his football tryout that he only made the practice backup team so that dream is squashed so he goes to MMA and does fairly well becoming the UFC World Heavyweight Champion. His MMA career doesnt last as long as he wanted because of illness so he decides to go back to WWE and Vince despite his personal feelings sees that Brock can make money for them on his name value. Brock is purely a part timer and hes not like Dwayne Johnson who busted his ass in WWE for a long time and gave a lot to the business before he left so this leads me to my point in this way too long post that Brock thinks he can come and go as he pleases and be the one to make one of the biggest splashes in wrestling history by being the only one when there were 21 previous matches with good competitors trying to end the streak who actually gave a shit about the business which Brock doesnt so Vince letting Brock end the streak is not only a slap in the face to the fans, the boys in the back, the Undertaker but also a huge slap to anyone who laced up their boots and gave a damn about the wrestling business! If Brock breaks the streak, the WWE will forever be known as a way bigger joke than they already tend to be sometimes with their stupid decisions. End Rant!
