I know this woman a nurse by profession. People trust and care - TopicsExpress

I know this woman a nurse by profession. People trust and care for her, because she cares for them! She was married once. That ended, and later dated for a few years. That ended too. Now she has GIVEN UP on guys. thinks there aren t any good ones left. She blames her self, but is a strong survivor. She is also a beautiful soul! With the physical matching the soul. A caring mom and nanny. I know a woman a teacher by trade...same story. A once beauty queen, a still very attractive woman. She went through abuse as a child, and as a wife. Its hard to trust. Even harder to open her heart up again. And I know a man, whos wife left him because he was never home. She found someone who was around. He says he will never trust, never marry again! Another is a new widow. He tells me he simply can t ever go through losing another partner ever again. He is well off, but poor in ways JUST LIKE THE OTHER 3. Why do I tell this? Because they are your neighbors, your co workers. they need someone to share this with....have you cared enough to ease their burden? All 3 have created a shell of comfort, that no one can penetrate. But love can! We must hear, we must listen, we must love them, out of that self wall. Invite them to a meal, invite them to a church service. Just be there talking and LISTENING! So many lonely souls. they cry for companionship, for friendship.... They too look for God. Today you could be their Angel. You could be a soul mate, some one they can finally lean on (if only for a few mins). Tell them and DO pray for them. Thats what Easter is all about.... a renewal. An encounter with Jesus. Our Judeo-Christian background demands it! Finally I know a man in his early 90s, alone and quiet. But always with a smile and a long sleeve shirt! 2 weeks ago I decided to try and help him do some yard work. As he rolled up his sleeve, there it was! A faded blue number tattooed on his arm. He too was a survivor. He too had never spoken about the horror. But that day he spoke wisdom. The worst thing about the camp was, the in humane conditions which made you feel totally alone. When I left him that day he hugged me. Not for the few mins of labor, but because I listened.
