I know we have not posted in a while. Captain Jack has been quite busy with the termite business spraying for those yucky buck moth caterpillars. Weve gotten reports from fellow fishermen and charter captains. The fishing is getting better and so is the weather. There are trout that can be caught on the outer edges of Delacroix, such as Lake Camp and Bay LaFourche. Also, they have been catching them on the inside where the twin pipelines and Four Horse meet. There are fish out there and being caught on the inside and outside using Matrix Shad as well as live minnows. We do not have any minnows or live shrimp right now. Jack has spoken to the bait man and we should have shrimp within the next few weeks. We will update everyone quickly. I have even made a phone call for some minnows and the bait man said they are hard to come by right now. If you now anyone selling live minnows give Captain Jack a call (504 453 8382). Charters are still available for April, this last weekend of April our rooms are booked unfortunately. Our Sweetwater special is 25$ and includes dead bait, 20-lb bag of ice, and a boat launch. Our dead bait is going for 13$ a bag right now. A launch is 10$ and for a kayak it is 5$. It’s Spring Break and Sweetwater in Delacroix is the place to be. We offer back downs and valet parking. And fish cleaning when available. Come out to Sweetwater where customer service is number one; remember we are the second launch. Happy fishing!
