I know we usually use this forum to express how feel about the music. Or how we like to discuss how great of musician the members of Rush are. But I want to write a post and share another reason Neil is my hero. Almost five years ago I lost my daughter in a traffic accident. My daughter, Crysta, was 16 and half. And as a lot of parents in this hell, I became depressed and a very dark person. But I tried to remember Neil. Heres a man who had everything and lost his daughter and his wife. He could have just said goodbye. Ive had a great career. Ive made a ton of money. It would be easy to hide. And just like that, be gone. on all our lives you left your mark upon. But he didnt. He found the strength to pull himself up and through the worst pain a parent can go through. And he lives. He lives his live to the fullest again. So, on several hundred times, Id remind myself of Neil. And I would remind myself to live. And now I remind myself its ok to have good days and not feel guilty. And I try to reach out to others that are in the same position Ive been in Maybe, there is someone out there now suffering. Your loss will challenge everything you have every believed in. But, like Neil, you can one day return to the things you love to do. Thank you Neil.
