I know what it feels like to have your heart ripped from your chest. Im sure Ive held the pieces of my broken heart in the palms of my hands...trying desperately to put it all back together...and its useless. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself and others ,your own emotions, betray you. Those damn tears well up and threaten to fall in steady streams down your face. Ive cried so much these past 2 years Im surprised I havent drowned. And with every tear that fell it was a cleansing of my entire being. I was in so much pain yet I couldnt let go of that pain because for once I knew I was truly alive. I was feeling. We become so numb to everything. Im not ready to fully let go of the pain. Not yet. Will I ever? Time will tell. But right now I need my sick twisted morbid self to hold that pain so so close. Sometimes we do things to make sure we still feel. To make sure were alive. Its crazy how the brain and the heart work. Not always in sync are they? Im getting better. Just like old wounds heal, they leave a scar, but you....you know what happened....those scars tell a story....Sometimes we just need someone to listen.
