I know what its like to feel like God is far away, and to have the blues. Where is the power? the joy? We all probably struggle. I can share what has worked for me. One thing is to examine myself and my motives. I have been blessed to not be a material person, so that has not been an issue with me, but I see many judging God by what they do or do not have. The first thing to do is serve God in any small way you can. Put God first. I examine myself and God has in the past revealed my sins. When God seems far away, is not the time to abandon fellowship, its the time to seek it more, its not the time to stop reading the bible, its the time to pick it up and read it. If we want a closer walk with God.. we will be willing to look at ourselves, and not be complaining spoiled ungrateful brats.
