I know what the internet says, but I want to hear this from someone who ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS SCIENCE. (Because I do not.) Does cold water truly taste different from (read: better than) warm water, because it more highly oxygenated? I can understand why boiled water would lose some oxygen molecules (I think); but I cant understand how just tilting the lever on the faucet one way instead of the other would make that big a difference. I would also like to believe thats why the water in my fridge at 1 in the morning tastes like the nectar of the gods, because prior to this I thought I was either just crazy or especially susceptible when quite that thirsty (or half-asleep). Really, its just staggering to me that refrigerate could equal instantly and appreciably enhance taste.
