Me: (Clearer and louder into CB): 79,500. Them: Did you say 79,000? Me: Seventy-Nine Thousand and Five Hundred.... Them: Seventy-Nine Thousand Five huh? Me: Yes.... Them: You did say Seventy-Nine didnt you? Me: YES... Them: How many tons is that? Me: 25.47 tons (another rough estimate of what Id say back) Them: Did you say 24? Me: No....Twenty Five point Forty-Seven Tons... Them: 25.47 Tons? Me: Yes (thinking Godammit, just get out the truck and come to the window!) Them: Stamp it! (They finally get out of the truck to come to the window, meanwhile there are other trucks pulling up behind them loaded and waiting patiently for their turns to do the same damn thing) Them (walking up to window to sign for their ticket): Did yall get any rain out here last night?
