I know yall are tired of my chicken stories but as my chicken friends on here will tell our chickens do the stupidest things on a daily basis. I sit in a chair out back everyday for about an hour with my birds feeding them treats and talking to them. IT MAKES THEM LIKE ME. :) So Im out there today and all the birds are at my feet except this one peacock. He is over to my left at what I like to call the Perch Bar Its a bunch of different sized perches (10) that are stuck in the wire gaps of the fence. All the same length but different sized around. And this peacock is going from perch to perch like he is either 1. trying them out repeatedly or 2. starting a new work out routine. So this goes on for about fifteen minutes back and forth. Then he stops and gives them all the once over look and goes to the third one from the end and sits on it. Gets comfy and falls over backwards into the dirt. Its just lying there with its feet still around the perch but its body on the ground. I start to run over there thinking it must have had a heart attack and it starts taking a dirt bath! Hanging upside down taking a freaking dirt bath! I am shocked! But then I start laughing so loud I scared all the other birds off and the peacock too. I just wonder if this is normal behavior. Maybe Im rubbing off on my birds or maybe he really is a pea brain.
