I know you are all waiting with baited breath for my next installment, so here it is.Hard to believe another warm and sunny day.First stop w a s to The Churchill War Museum. This is one of the most important and interesting museums in London. They have recreated the actual war rooms underground as they were during the early 1940s.This is the underground bunker near Whitehall where people dedicated their lives to working with and for Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Even his family lived most of the time down there with. him.It was a dangerous job to be there but the people believed in the war effort and did a tremendous job.It felt erie to be down there in the same rooms where all this took place. We learned so much about WW11.Next stop was to get some warm food as it was freezing down in the bunker. We found a nice Pub and we each had a bowl of Broccoli and Cheddar soup with two huge slices of bread and butter. Two coffees for me and two teas for Rick.Good lunch for us.Then we met up with our London Walk tour guide at TrafalgarSquare I had bought this with a Groupon before we left the US. There were only three of us on this Royal Walking Tour so we got very personal service with many questions asked by us. We learned a lot about the Royal family through the ages. Our tour was over around three and we hopped yet another tube to visit the. Monument built by Christopher Wrenn the famous architect in memory of the famous fire that destroyed much of London. We decided not to climb to the top( 213 steps). Our legs were too tired by then after walking so many miles.Next stop yet another lovely Pub for dinner. We each had what was called Hung, drawn and quarteredThey were big fluffy pastry pies that had steak, onion, celery, stilton cheese, white wine in a rich gravy. They were served with mashed potatoes and green vegetables.Good choice!.A stop once again to the grocery ,back on the tube to rest our bodies at the flat.Watching the debates on TV all about the vote for separation for Scotland from England..This is an extremely contentious happening and very important for both countries.I vote NO! Stay tuned, big day tomorrow.
