I know you know I love superfoods! Its time to stock up. My partner Nutiva is offering a bulk deal this week which includes a 32 ounce bag of black chia seeds and 24 ounces of hemp oil. If you haven’t started using chia seeds yet, you must try them! Chia seeds are nutrient packed (omega 3’s, protein, rare antioxidants, and fiber) and can easily be added to anything - soups, smoothies, baked goods, puddings, etc. It’s all about getting the most nutrients possible in every meal you eat. Hemp oil can be used in a variety of ways too. My favorite is in my tahini salad dressing recipe which I posted below. Happy Tuesday! Tahini Dressing: Serves: 10 - 12 Ingredients: Juice of one large lemon 1 garlic clove minced ½ cup water ½ cup raw tahini 1 tsp maple syrup or honey 1 tbsp and 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 1 and ½ tsp tamari soy sauce 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp cumin 2 tbsp hempseed oil or olive oil ¼ tsp sea salt 1 tbsp raw sesame seeds Instructions: Combine lemon juice, garlic and water into a blender and puree for 15 - 30 seconds. Add all remaining ingredients and puree again until smooth. Use as a veggie dip or for salads. Stays fresh in the fridge for one week. ***Please buy all organic ingredients if possible***
