I know you so well. I know him/her so well. But do we ever really? Know someone well? At best, we could perhaps try to understand or recognize an aspect of someones personality. But to say that we know them well? There is a certain arrogance inherent in that statement isnt it? :) To say that we know someone well is a previlige that is either given to us by the individual or one that we earn through unwavering trust and loyalty. And time. That precious commodity given to those who mean something to us. I think I have said it to only a handful of individuals in my life. Or maybe even less. Because you see, to know someone well is a rare , rare thing. A precious gift given to you. A previlige. Unless someone knows the angels and demons inside you as if they were their very own, all your secret fears and the most impossible of dreams , of what you could be or are capable of in your darkest moments. Unless they know all of these and more, trust me, they dont know you well. So whenever someone says they know you well, just smile.:) Thats what I do.
