“I know you’re here, I felt your presence the second I walked out of the office. Come out, come out wherever you are…” James said as his head jerked hearing the click of her heels lightly tapping the hardwood floor. His attention directed to the bar where he saw her dim shadow. “How long have you been here?” stealthily moving along the outside of the front bar. “Long enough to have a few drinks.” She admitted walking around the counter allowing him a full frontal view of her. “For the love of…” He began to say, getting lost in his own words, as would a child trying to read for the very first time. The ability to speak momentarily vanished as he watched her slide onto a barstool. Never before has any other woman been able to put him into shock, Samantha seemed to be making a career of it.
