Ernesto Che Guevara (just before he was shot and murdered) October 9, 1967 (aged 39) (execution) Couple of days ago, happened to be 47 years since his death. I sat at a cafe, were his pictures are all around the walls and the waiters wear Cuban like revolutionary uniforms...:((( I was trying to take a pic of the cafe, trying hopelessly to promote the Cuban cool Ora while a begger was seating couple of meters away!!! The Che that I read so much about, became obsessed with his ordeals and mind, is nothing like the shirts you wear, the pictures you hang on your walls, the cigars you promote. How ironic that his picture is a commodity so in demand for a $ or two.. He said in a speech at United Nations : We should like to see this Assembly (UN) shake itself out of complacency and move forward. Imperialism wishes to convert this meeting into a pointless oratorical tournament, instead of solving the grave problems of the world. What a man! Thank you for being so real in my mind...
