I learned a lot through trial and error, sometimes compromising my own integrity in the process. Regardless of the passion you may want to help empower in others, if it is NOT a core-aligned vision that BOTH parties share, it is not a good investment. There are 2 main types of investments, and these are crucial to unlocking (or locking up) UNLIMITED potential in your life. It is ALWAYS a matter of ROE (Return on Energy) and ROI (Return on Investment). BOTH are investments, but the former is time, and the latter is money. A good friend and I recently had a fallout. And it was due to ME not conveying 100% honesty about what I felt was WRONG from day 1. His business VISION was the polar opposite of mine BUT I saw passion in him. I was blinded by helping him get what he wanted at the expense of my faith, and in turn, gave him power of dictating and testing the limits of my own. Every now and then, we have tests in our lives and we fail them. This was one of them. But w/great failure, we acquire great understanding. And my understanding is that I will never allow myself to compromise who I am and WHAT I stand for. Regardless of shared interest. I tell clients and friends to start w/the end in mind. And this may be the end of a friendship because of a series of missteps on mine. Lesson #1 Be honest 100% of how you FEEL about the outcome of the plan whether the other party agrees or hates the idea because it 100% conflicts w/THEIR purpose. If you are not passionate about the other persons purpose, you will never make them any money. Lesson #2 Facebook chat is a blessing being able to convey messages to multiple parties at once. Bit some conversations are best had in person - And the longer you wait, the more difficult it will become.
