I learned some very valuable lessons racing my 15 year old nephew last night: - Im pretty fast for a 38 year old. - You should only run at top speed if your life is on the line, or you are being paid a massive amount of money to do so. - The Olympics were not held in Chicago, so I had no business pretending like there was a gold medal to be acquired. - My nephews dad is from Belize. He had run from Belize. Never drink rum from Belize. It makes you think you can race a kid much younger than you and win. Rum from Belize is a hallucinogen. - Invest in multiple heating pads. - Just because I run during the summer doesnt mean Im still a sprinter. I like marathons now. Come to think of it, my favorite event in high school was the 300 meter intermediate hurdles. Again, rum from Belize is a hallucinogen. - Owning a jacuzzi tub means nothing if you are too sore to run the bath water. - It is possible to pull a muscle between your rib cage and hip. - Rum from Belize is a hallucinogen.
