I learned something about dreams and striving to reach those - TopicsExpress

I learned something about dreams and striving to reach those dreams no mater how long it takes. About 20 years ago I had shared a dream with Camille. I had told her that It has been a dream of mine to one day see Billy Joel in concert in NYC. Now fast forward 20 years, Today I close a chapter of my life as I retire and end my 20 year career in law enforcement. This has been a bitter sweet pill for me to swallow. Although I am excited for the changes and the unknown that this new chapter brings. At the same time I wipe away a tear as I leave my friends, my family, my brothers and sisters who have always been there for me over the past 20 yrs. We have been bound for life by the unforgettable memories & experiences that only a career in law-enforcement can give you. I dont often share this much on FB but felt the need to express my gratitude and thanks to all my friends, APD/ LCPD brothers and those LEOs from around the country and the world for making my career unforgettable! To the one who has had my back for 21 years, my wife Camille. There is no way I could of made it through 20 yrs with out you. Knowing that you and the kids were home waiting for me to come home was my motivation that kept me coming home safe each and every shift. I love you!!! Back to Billy Joel, the reason for this rant. Thanks for remembering that young 24 year olds dream, the ticket, Billy Joel, Madison Square Garden NYC!!! Couldnt ask for a more perfect retirement gift!
