I learned with Vince, so this was one of the first conversations Chris and I had: To have me, you must accept and treat my child as if she were your own. I will not side against you when she is being fairly punished. But, I will have a private conversation with you if I think you are being too harsh. And that is EXACTLY how he and his family have treated her despite times when we all werent talking. It wasnt all peaches and cream, but it worked for us. A parent can simply NOT tolerate their child being treated any differently because they are not their biological children. It is unacceptable and you are turning your back on your children, if you allow anything otherwise!
