I left Place Massena to wander around Nices busy streets and see - TopicsExpress

I left Place Massena to wander around Nices busy streets and see what I could find by way of interesting people. The sun was low in the sky on this Sunday evening and the people of Nice were out enjoying their early evening constitutional. I was surprised by the amount of homeless people on the streets. A group who were blind drunk were hanging out by the Palais de Justice. People passed them by trying to ignore them. I spent a few minutes observing how these people interacted with each other - one minute a true fraternal affection and the next rage and spite. I expected the beach at Nice to be impressive. Its big, and stretches for a long way, but its not particularly clean and is a mix of unattractive sand and stones. It was chocka. As I walked the promenade my eye was drawn to a bench with four women sitting on it. Two of them were having an expressive conversation, whilst one of the ladies on the end looked uncomfortable. I tried my best to be subtle and shoot from the hip but when I looked at the photo one of the women was staring straight down my lens. Was she annoyed with me photographing her? Or was she just confused as to why I chose to take a photo of that bench?
