I left Target tonight with a full cup and believe me, my cup has - TopicsExpress

I left Target tonight with a full cup and believe me, my cup has been running on empty. Anyone in B/CS who ventured out this weekend knows how crazy it was. Lines are long and people are irritated. The cashier for my line was special needs. I waited in line and observed rolled eyes, sighs, and aggravated body language. He was friendly, yet efficient. His conversation did not slow him down. He merely spoke to the customer as I would, making comments about the merchandise, asking how they were, etc. I noticed that his badge said trainer, so when he was glancing around, I knew he was not flustered or needing help, he was checking on the cashiers around him and watching how long the lines were. When it was my turn, I answered all his questions and carried on a conversation. I asked questions back and smiled when he smiled. I did not care that others were irritated. It was my turn to fill his cup. Little did he know that he had already filled mine. Thank you God for the reminder that every day is another opportunity to make an impact on someones day. And to my new favorite cashier at Target, thank you for a renewed spirit. You were a blessing to me today and I will never forget this moment.
