I, like Spectrum and Pizza, have made it clear to the local Childrens Hospital staff that our city, state and country has a booming population of special needs children. Last night I had one SN child as a patient, her autistic (and complex dx) brother along with me and I didnt bother to disclose their mother is also special needs. I will absolutely go more into detail about how last nights visit was handled by the staff. What I will say is that weve been there twice in less than 3 weeks and our visits were complete opposites. Which disappoints me greatly. A family - ANY family - needs dependable and great medical care. I think it would be one heckuva great idea if SN/Autism bloggers across the country adopted an agreed-upon list of hospital care ideas and promoted them. Many voices singing for decent care and accommodations would be a beautiful song!
