I like Vietnam for many things....but I hate that there are people there who steal dogs, domesticated dogs...pets, and torture them slowly by the thousands...as they believe that a dog in agony when dying gives the best tasting final meat product. Dogs are domestic animals and shouldnt be used for food. And torturing any animal slowly until it is killed, is just barbaric and the cruelest act. When these people have been exposed here and there, deaths have occurred because these companies are like mafia and will not be stopped because of the money. They get dogs flown in in cages, half dead from neglect during the journeys, from Thailand and Cambodia and China and the Phillipines. Disgusting. Disgusting and sad. I have a Vietnamese friend whose beautiful pet dog was stolen from outside her doorstep by two men on a scooter with a net. In 5 seconds they were gone and the dog hanging in the net wondering what was happening. So, she will never see her pet again and can be assured it died, terrified, with strangers hanging over it, torturing it to death very slowly with steel stakes...which is what they do. This kind of thing makes me sad but also makes my blood boil. Every day this occurs in several countries with hundreds of dog killings per day. I dont understand these people.
