I like tell stories, for that I am here now, to tell you a great story, a story that i start to tell the other day in my honoring to composers of vocaloids. It gave me the feeling that my honoring wasnt enough great for one of the greatest composers of vocaloids, so here i am again to do a honoring as only the best hes deserved, and ill do telling a story, a story called... ODDS & ENDS Its in 2007, a boy with a great musical inspiration named Ryo decides that its time to the world listens the songs that he encloses in his creativity, he has got an idea, to compose and to distribute his music in Nico Nico Douga, a web that he liked for his system of answers. Ryo doesnt know any singer, so that his friends recommended to him to use Hatsune Miku, one of the vocaloids. The vocaloids were a voice synthesizers software; Hatsune Miku belongs to the second generation of this software, concretely the named vocaloid 2 V-01 Hatsune Miku. Hatsune Miku was very popular, since many people distributed his videos in Nico Nico Douga using her as vocals, so Ryo decides try it. On December 7, 2007, Ryo presented the song Melt in Nico Nico Douga, using Mikus illustration drawn by an illustrator named 119 without his permission. Ryo contacts to 119 to apologize, and he answers that he was very interested in melt, and they began to work together; supercell has born. More members were adding, many of them, illustrators and designers until they were 11 in the moment of his great beginning. In 2008, supercell and Miku continued launching songs, that it turned in hits. The launches of supercell Koi wa Senso on February 22, World is Mine on May 31 and Black★Rock Shooter on June 13 they received a million visits. In Nico Nico Douga, World is Mine and Black★Rock Shooter obtained the first position in the daily rankings of My List . In the Comiket 74, in August, 2008, supercell launched his independent album called as the band, supercell. The album had its most popular songs and new songs. Supercell did his principal debut with Sony Music Entertainment Japan, with the professional launch of supercell on March 4, 2009. The album have a innersleeve with illustrations, two new songs and a DVD with musical videos of four songs. The album obtained the fourth position in the weekly lists of Oricon, and in June, 2009, got the Gold Disc for the Recording Industry Association of Japan, after having overcome 100.000 copys sold in only a year. Supercell launched its first single, Kimi not Shiranai Monogatari on August 12, 2009, which got the fifth position in Oricon. The song Kimi not Shiranai Monogatari was used as ending in the anime Bakemonogatari, and two of the songs of the single were included in the anime film Cencoroll. The single was the first time that supercell dont use Hatsune Miku as vocals, the singer was Nagi. Supercell was chosen as one of the best five new Japanese bands of 2009 during the prizes Japan Gold Disc Award 2010. Supercell continued launching more hits, from which, only in a split single with Kz, titled Kotchi Muite Baby/Yellow; And other split with Dixie Flatline Sekiranum Graffiti/Fallin Fallin Fallin , they used Hatsune Miku again as vocals. Ryo seemed to have forgotten Miku, while some members of the group, between them Huke, was working in a project, an OVA based on one of the old songs of the group, titled like the song: Black★Rock Shooter. It is possible that Ryo in any time, was doing like many of us, and he was endowing Miku of life, attributing a possible feeling of frustration to him, a feeling to be used by Ryo and the group, who knows?. The case is that it was which was the motive, in the summer of 2012, from the inner of Ryo rised an inspiration, that Ryo transformed in one of the most wonderful songs of Ryo and supercell, song that Ryo titled odds&ends, and so he composed specially to be sung by Hatsune Miku. Odds&ends tell us the history of a robot, which its efforts dont satisfy its owner. One day the robot meets Hatsune Miku and she gives him her voice. The robot composes magnificent song with Mikus voice, the time goes on and the robot forgets Miku and she feels used. One day, the robot decides to return with Miku to compose a fantastic song. With this metaphorical way, Ryo tell us in odds&ends Ryo and supercells story, and his relation with Hatsune Miku. Probably for that, odds&ends can make sprout tears from our eyes whenever we listen his notes, because odds&ends doesnt tell to us about a nice and sad story between Miku and a robot, no, odds&ends tells us a real story, the story of a genius composer, his musical group, and the DIVA who sings his songs, the story of Ryo,...supercell,...and Hatsune Miku; and this is the story, and i want to close it with this video that i have mixed by myself and dedicated in my name... and in yours, and that is my honoring to a genius and his virtual DIVA, is my honoring to Ryo and Hatsune Miku... ODDS&ENDS.
