I like this kind of idealism. But how do we transition from a world from that uses money, to a world where we dont use money? How does a world that doesnt use money distribute goods and services? Since the world uses money, in order for us to stop using money, we would either all have to agree to stop using money at the same time, or there will still be communities, cities, countries that dont use money at the same time as those who do use money. How can the two worlds coexist at all? I definitely subscribe to the same idealism, that humanity could get from where we are today to a point where we no longer use money. But right now its really it hard to imagine the transition going smoothly. As Buckminster Fuller and others have stated, we live in a world of abundance, with no shortage of any natural resource. Yet our entire economic paradigm is one of motivation by scarcity. To remedy these scarcities, just what kind of equitable distribution could there be of privately owned globally disparate resources? How can we divert enough raw natural resources and human resources away from the money-based system of the planet, to be able to bootstrap the entirety of that same scarcity-driven money-based system, into some other kind of system driven by abundance? Most people arent even aware that money consists of otherwise value-less bookkeeping entries in the global scarcity based money-system. how can we change our world so value and wealth are measured in the quality of life, human freedom, health, dignity, and education? Just how can we leverage existing media resources to re-frame and re-prioritize contemporary globally accepted ideas of value and wealth in a viral, self-perpetuating meme-plex?
