I like this post because mother, sister, daughter, wife have a score through it. To argue that these things have some relevance when it comes to justice or the way we treat people, is social hypocrisy. Because it means that if a woman wasnt *anyones* mother or sister, the way we should treat her changes. I say social hypocrisy because a man can never be anyones mother, so he could never gain the same sympathy that a mother would gain, naturally. Heck, a man can never gain the sympathy that a woman gains period, in any situation. So as a result the *way we treat people* becomes based upon lots of things, apart from the most important thing, that first and foremost they are human beings and they have rights. My point is not so much about domestic violence as oppose to treating people equally and fairly. This is a fine principal to live by. To divorce ones-self from all of the emotional arguments that leave peoples lives in a mess and feeling oppressed. Because in virtually all situations, people bring up emotional arguments as the crux to their point, as oppose to actual knowledge, then the innocent one gets blamed. Being believers means we have a higher authority to refer to. God. Then this should be the most important thing: How does God look at the situation. And when we seek knowledge we find that man and woman are equal, justice is equal, everyone has the same human rights. Its about who they are, human beings, Gods creation. Isnt that 1) the most important thing 2) enough.
