I like to make close friends fast. I like to make quick judgements and then dive headfirst into deep, lifelong friendships. Sometimes it works out great (see: Jenn Grinels, Raina Rose) but more often than not I find myself feeling foolish the morning after an intense, meaningful conversation with a stranger at a party who I know, by the light of day, will probably never call me back. I just realized that it feels like I have been doing this for the past two weeks with the entire country of Holland. While I hope that what we have is the start of something special, even if it never extends beyond what we just shared I will treasure it always. Huge thanks to all of my new friends in The Netherlands for showing me such a wonderful time. I hope to see you again soon, and often. xoxo ~becca
