Tonight, I want to recognize someone who is one of the most humble leaders and people I know: Henry Timms has been selected for the 2014 Power and Influence Top 50 in The Nonprofit Times, joining the likes of Bill Gates, Charles Best of DonorsChoose, and Jacob Harold, ceo of Guidestar (an old friend and bschool classmate). As those who have worked with Henry closely know, he truly is a remarkable catalyst, visionary, and Conductor (his BLK SHP nickname) for good work, most notably GivingTuesday, a day of national giving on social media that Henry envisioned and founded, and that I served as a small advisor to with the other folks tagged here, as well as leading the 92nd Street Y day to day in NYC.
