I like your CHRIST, I do not like your Christians. your Christians are so unlike your CHRIST. - Mahatma Ghandhi. I find this to be a very powerful n telling statement... its not so much that people reject JESUS but rather that people reject the representation given of JESUS by Christians in general. there are so many Christians that are hypocritical, legalistic, prejudice, immature, use the title of Christian to make their self look good to others, have selfish agendas, are ignorant of the scriptures, stuck on denominational doctrine and traditions, and unable to intelligently defend their faith when asked why they believe what they believe and can merely say they just believe and ultimately make JESUS sound like nothing more than a silly fairy tale with no credible argument to back it up with.. most like to pick out the parts of the bible they like n that suits their lifestyle n leave out the rest... these facts only bring to light even more so the fact that GOD had to manifest Himself into human flesh in the form of JESUS CHRIST to suffer n die for the sins of the world because there is none worthy but HIM to be the ultimate n perfect sacrifice to cleanse us of the filth of our unrighteousness... people have corrupted n polluted the love mercy and grace of GOD that is in JESUS CHRIST with denominations, religion and legalism... which I find to be very silly considering that JESUS made it quite simple when HE said “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” and If you love me keep my commandments. If you love people and you love GOD which is JESUS (GOD in human flesh) then obedience to HIM comes out of love for HIM which makes it joyful as opposed to doing it begrudgingly from a legalistic n religious standpoint and therefore you set yourself up to be blessed in great measure through obedience out of love and respect for GOD... it kinda works the same way with parents if you think about it... if your obedient to your parents out of love n respect 4 them your parents will bless you but if your disobedient and disrespectful to them you get whooped or grounded or maybe just get your iphone took away lol idk how it is nowadays O_O lol
