I listened partially to a preacher while traveling, delivering a message at the annual prayer breakfast that is kept which much pomp and posturing. The e speech was splendid, articulate, beautiful, well delivered, but lacking in spiritual content and power. A true description of a form of godliness void of scriptural information or directives. A business without a profit is either in a break even or is suffering a loss. Continuation would be tragic and a turn around expert is a direct asset to such a condition. When the economic and social climate of a country is in regression, powerful spiritual intervention is a necessity. In biblical times, God told Israel that when these conditions persist, then a radical praying position is the condition for a change and preaching is the medium to stir new faith and revival. The call is to the spiritual , who cannot ask the ungodly to bear the brunt of the reversal since they are spiritually dormant. If my people , who are called by my name, would humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and heal their lands, THAT WAS THE PRESCRIPTION GIVEN BY GOD. iT IS ONE THING TO ASK FOR A CHARACTER CHNGE IN NICE PIOUS LANGUAGE, IT IS ANOTHER TO IN SPIRE SPIRITUAL ACTION. PREACHERS MUST BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD JESUS AND WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE AS LEADERS TO INVOLE SPIRITUAL POWER, TO MAKE THE CHANGE.. The preacher was a strong rebuke ; outlining the need for changes which highlikght a nation seeking to be economically sound, socially balanced, crime reducing, education prone and general upward mobile. If I did not know the way of the Lord, the speech would easily get an A*; BUT WE ARE TOO FAR GONE IN THE PROPHETIC LADDER TO BE SO PASSIVE TO THE SPIRITUAL ENERGY NEEDED TO KICK START RIGHTEOUSNESS OUT OF THE BASKET OF REPROACH. May the Lord have mercy on us. The bible is usually an ignored book when affluence prevail. A distorted view of progress is usually the social i9mage, but when crime and violence dominate the environment , they are clear indicators that divine intervention is the answer. There a call to fervent, hell kicking conversion brought about by intercessory prayer and repentance without apology is the antidote. Preachers are pearls in those situation. Righteousness is the call for exaltation to follow, so praying that brings repentance and preaching that brings conviction are mandatory.is a must. Let the prophets and preachers, weep and mourn for the children, wasted and leaderless, the homes shattered and torn, the youths ungodly and careless. As profits to businesses so are the prophets to a country. Both are wanted and required. Do not discard this need , my people.. REPENTANCE AND THE ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS ARE AS SIAMESE TWINS FOR OUR TIMES. We cannot survive without them at all levels of our society and in every type of institutions. Exalting the name of the Lord Jesus is pivotal
