I listened to Bilal Mehris talk from last weekend. He is wanting to defend the honour of the prophet. He is a leader of Hizb ut Tahrir organizing the Our Prophet Our Honour rally being held tonight. I listened and learnt a lot. Too much to say here. He was upset that we have attacked the hijab, niqab and halal food. But mostly Mehri gave countless examples of allowing people to be used as human shields to protect Mohamed. That suggests great weakness to me. A real man defends women and children, not allows them to die in his place. At around 14mins into the talk Mehri says a woman even offered her baby as a human shield! Mehri proclaims,what kind of love is this! I say that is disgusting!!!!! Mehri also talked about Mohamed and how he wanted to debate, talk, reason and yet when we attempt that we get labelled racist, bigots, ignorant etc. It doesnt seem to work both ways. I have read the Koran and Hadiths, I have listened to the preaching. This is Australia. We are not governed by Sharia. We can make comment and even criticize political religious ideologies we disagree with. We are not governed by Sharia so we do not have to honour the prophet. He is subject to the same scrutiny every other person in Australia is open to. There are plenty of countries you can live in if you want to honour the prophet, and respectfully I say if that is what is important to you, you can go there.
