I listened to Minister Farrakhan and a lot of what hes saying - TopicsExpress

I listened to Minister Farrakhan and a lot of what hes saying makes sense but we should start at home with the cleanup I mean why would another race value our lives when we as African or black Americans dont. We marched two hundred strong when a white cop murdered Michael Brown but how many well known black representatives were at Shaquise Buckners visual when she an Honor student was shot and killed by a stray but? See to me its time to stop the show boating and start the showing up. I try through coaching and mentoring the kids that play sports for me and who are in the places that I may find myself. Where were the mainstream folks when Devante Carthan a sophomore at Harlan High School and played on the basketball team was shot in the chest by another black child where were they? See I understand that they speak and things are done but its just when they speak its done too late. Like I said the words that the Minister spoke resonated volumes and reach many a ear but the ones the ears hes not reaching are our own. So until we men so called men stand up and grab a young brother or sister and show him or her that there is so much more in life then life in jail or no life at all the police nor any other race will value our race. Were killing ourselves way quicker than any police in the world. Its a shame when going to war is safer than going to Wal-Mart. Dont mean to offend any IJS
