I live in Florissant and fully support the city of Ferguson, but more importantly I love ice cream. How childish do people have to act by trying to destroy the Whistle Stop and Velvet Freeze ice cream parlors? There are over 50 support responses to this sad news that I felt compelled to also share a Ferguson residents viewpoint. I noticed he did not send his well wishes or support to THIS mom and pop shop small business website, which I find very sad. So I hope by reading the following some of the Whistle Stop supporters may wish to contact him on face book to see exactly what it is he DOES support. The Post-Dispatch and other sources are reporting an attempted arson at the Whistle Stop Frozen Custard in Ferguson, a few blocks from my home. This, of course, will serve as yet another reason they need to crack down on peaceful protesters Bottom line, folks, is theres just no way this was a fire lit by a rogue protester. This was a twisted publicity stunt done by somebody wanted to incite anger against protesters. I know there are people out there (Hi, Mark) who are going to accuse me of foil hat logic here. But even a kid with a gallon of gas and a pack of matches could have done serious damage to this building. And if it really was being investigated by county bomb and arson, theyd have secured the area, put up crime scene tape, and had a cop guarding the crime scene until the investigation was complete. So I dont buy this one for a minute.
