I live in Oconomowoc, Wi. I am absolutely in love with these ECR. Big, white, poofy, black nose...you know. I have medical issues and I think getting one in spring would be the best medicine for me. I have an American Golden, Luna who is 4...but I think she would love a little sister. I dont need a show dog, or a hunting dog...just a healthy, happy, mellow EC puppy to be my companion with Luna and possibly be trained as a service/therapy dog. If I just want one for my pet without being bred for show or hunting, will they still be as expensive??? Lunas parents were bred for personality and hunting. She came with papers, parents had all the health checks, shots, etc and we paid $500 for her. Actually she was my xmas gift from my dad. I had just lost my mom in August and then had to put my other dog...my soulmate, Maizy Mae to sleep that October. I thought I would never be able to recover from the deep depression I was in and never stop crying 24 /7. Once Luna came into my life, my heart had begun to heal. We help support our son and granddaughter as she is a single parent with full custody. I am disabled but unable to get disability benefits. So finances are tight for a big chunk of money to purchase a puppy. So I was just wondering if its not bread for those special skills and just be a family pet if they are any less expensive. Can anyone refer me to a English cream breeder anywhere around the Milwaukee area or Madison? If this is going to happen, it wouldnt be till next spring.
