I live in a world where most black celebrities will pour a bucket of ice water over their heads for a disease state that affects 30,000 americans, yet those same celebrities will not speak up for the challenges 40 million blacks face. When will we finally learn that most of these folks in order to keep the bed where they lay, inherent to that status implies not shaking the apple cart. They attempt to distance themselves from the black situation by garnering acceptance, approval and validation from the larger white constructs and have no desire to be perceived as renegade, rebellious or revolutionary. In fact they aspire to be seen as gratuitous for being allowed to sit at the table of conquest under the misinformed delusion of equality.
