I live in flats, and a neighbour and I regularly leave food out for any stray/hungry cats in the area ( yep, were a pair of big softies ) but lately its been disappearing every night faster than we can put it out. And the MESS!!!. Ive been hearing what I can only describe as suspicious snuffling noises just outside my door for a few nights in a row now, but every time I investigate, the culprit has already melted into the night. But last night I caught the cat food burglar red handed. Or should that be red pawed? I jumped up and switched on my porch light in time to catch the most woebegone looking pit bull pup, with what looked like a bit of string for a tail, and a couple of apertures vaguely resembling ears on the top of his head, simultaneously eating and spreading cat food a diameter of several feet around himself. He must have been famished, because he didnt run last night, but let me sit with him until every last morsel was gone from my bowl. Whereupon he ran straight to my friends place, noisily slurped up all the water from her pet bowl, peed majestically on her potted strawberries, and ran off. Hey mate, a little gratitude would be nice, you know? :D
