I lived in San Francisco for a few years as a kid and Robin - TopicsExpress

I lived in San Francisco for a few years as a kid and Robin Williams lived in my neighbourhood. Sightings of him down at the local shops were a semi-regular (and hugely exciting) occurrence and the movie Mrs. Doubtfire was actually filmed 1 block from my school. For over 20 years now anytime I see that movie I cant help but point out the red brick wall on the corner of the street where they live in the movie, as this is where I was picked up from school every day. Upon hearing the news this morning my Mum reminded me of the story of how one day the street where I normally got picked up from school was blocked off due to filming. Mum had arrived to pick me up and insisted to the film crew that she needed to wait on that corner for me as thats where I was going to be meeting her, so they had to delay filming until I walked down the hill from school to get picked up. Very sad news to hear. My childhood is filled with so many great memories of watching and enjoying movies of Robin Williams and its even sadder to hear of his depression and apparent suicide. Remember that help is always available to those in need and that no experience in life good or bad is permanent.
