I lived in Traverse City and you think the roads are bad here , you ought to live in that Grand Traverse County, the potholes are so bad they ruin our shocks and when you report the damage they did by not fixing the roads , we were told to watch where your driving ! One man on Hammond road hit the same pothole I did it blew out his tire but they would do nothing about it....So I called MDOT and they gave me a print out of how much Grand Traverse County gets per month from Gasoline Taxes and Auto /Truck registrations per month which is suppose to pay for road repairs.......$650,000 K a month! on an average and the road commissioners said they could not afford to repair entire roads because the cost of Asphalt has tripled...so they gave $200,000K to pave the roads in the rich subdivisions because those rich people were able to pay any extra money required to pay for their roads to be paced!!!!!!!!! of course they can! Oh and the cost of road salt going up was another reason and they needed to pay for salaries of the Unionized truck drives they wanted a raise and then they needed to replenish their Retirements Funds , cuz that was more important for the many employees they had than our roads...So that is how the CEO Governor thinks see , he thinks like all rich people do who the hell cares about the poor or the midddleclass they got theirs and they pay the Township Supervisors big bucks , they are all in sink with each other businesss and government and Traverse City , 5 county area is a now called The Grand Vision which is Sustainable Development / ICLEI or better known as UN AGENDA 21 .....so they find money from the Federal Community organizer to give grants for bike trails, walking trails and Granny flats to live onto of Traverse City garages in a 250 sq ft apt....and then they are telling people to Walk or Bike to work and to the groceries stores....I am not making this up , this is the truth folks ! I have been fighting for our poor and middle class for along time...Also President Obama gave that area millions of dollars from the Recovery ACT so business would hire more workers but they didnt and kept the money ! Check it out on the Recovery Act site if its still up , cuz Obama gave businesss $750 billion to hire more workers but they didnt oh they have hired a relative for summer jobs but that bail out didnt help anyone except businesss ..
