I look at the whole pronouncement that all of the students (about 25000) that sat this year placement examination fail flatly by the UL Administration as premature. My reason for saying this stands from the fact that all over the world examiners always start grading students sitting an exam from perfection grade point (90% - 100%). If no student makes such mark, the examiners drop the scale to the next level, until the examiner comes up to a scaling mark and releas a result. Some examiners also publish the scale used for the mark earned by each student. In this case, the UL Administration first announced all 25000 students total failure and later decides to Implore scaling that will qualify 1800 students to enter the school. I see such action as been a premature pronouncement on the part of the UL. Why you never introduce the scaling that will qualify the 1800 students, and release the result and inform the public that the reason for only the 1800 students passing is a result of the standard you introduce?
