I look back at poems I wrote a lil while back... I amaze myself sometimes...lol just be killin it sometimes.. I read and visualize the picture Im painting with words and at the time its just a peom but when I read it again months later sometimes it makes me feel some type of way... Like this one.... Im getting ready for a war where all is faire... No fatigue boots... No dress blues with the shiny shoes... Just a card and a bouquet of flowers... See it was down by the riverside where I fell in love and didnt kno how to swim .. But I often longed for it and yet I panic.. Only eyes above water I managed to get a shore.. But who knew I would longed for more.. Ive been in battles but I refuse to be a casualty at war.. I wave my banner no matter the cost wounded and sore.. But even if I die I still win because I Wil soar and leave behind the troubles of this world.. But I dread that day because surely I will see you at my last breath or yours... Surely I will plant my hand in yours before the sunrise and set on our lives until the next.. Surely before I close my blue eyes I will see the blood shed and tears rained ,.. Smiles lit and a last tender kiss was worth fighting for....
