I looked at some of my drawings from high school and my short time at the Art Institute and didnt really like what I saw, Ive noticed that back then I was trying too much to draw like certain people (i.e. Jhonen Vasquez, Hayao Miyazaki and a lot of other anime artists) and none of my drawings really had their own feel. Now all I really have to say is that Im glad I havent been drawing much in the past half decade (prolly more than that) because now I feel my work is MY work and not a copy. Hopefully Ill get around to scanning/ taking pics of my stuff (old and new) so you can see what Im talking about.
