I looked up THE FORMULA for American Indians and Alaska Natives to QUALIFY for Foodstamps... it is based on some old 1970 survey taken in the cities and makes no mention of the horrible outlandish greedy costs of Roundtrip tickets from the Villages to any of the cities in Alaska... that EXORBITANT DELIVERY CHARGES rolls over to foods and goods deliveries also. That FORMULA/Handbook/Policy hasnt been up-dated to reflect the true costs, the true profits being made to SERVICE Tribal Governments in Alaska. Tribal Councils have to go create a non-profit in order for the grocery stores to DONATE foods to Tribal peoples/Villages/Tribal Governments. We took this issue to Senator Stevens when he was alive....OH, it was explained.... too many jobs involved/at stake in OTHER PEOPLES AND THEIR GOVERNMENTS in order for Tribal Governments to supply proper services for their peoples.... I wonder how many times the TRIBAL TREASURY ACCOUNT has been emptied to ADDRESS some CORPORATION loss or New York City had to dip into our Account???? Has Chrysler Corp or New York City ever paid back ONE dime into the Indian Tribal Treasury Account that was used to BAIL OUT those corporations and city whatever????
