I lost a Bestie last night. Lt Col Mike Porky Cooper, USAF-Retired. Mike was a fighter pilots fighter pilot. He flew the F-105 Thud over the skies of North Vietnam. We lost a Thud every 66 missions flown over the North. Given that the guys had to fly 100, it was a difficult and dangerous journey. Mike was one of the first two pilots to live through 100 of those missions. The other was my good friend Don Totten. Hand Salute to my friend and personal hero. Remember all the Friends whove gone before us Remember all the good times and the scars Well all meet at that great final reunion And fly with angels out beyond the stars God, welcome Porky into your Kingdom and grant him the peace and comfort of Your love.
