I lost all Respect for the Police Force and Judicial - TopicsExpress

I lost all Respect for the Police Force and Judicial system!!! (im sure their are a few good ones left though) :-/ So the Police is at it again. (no shooting/killing this time) My co workers brother got arrested last weekend for being at a club at the wrong time... let me explain They were at a club in New Rochelle, NYC last Sat. 3:30 am and a big fight broke out that leads to 5-10 brawls. One person got his back cut up and someone allegedly shot a gun into the ground. Situation- My co workers brothers friend was the one that got slashed and the brother got jumped ( not serious, few scraps) the Police get on the scene and you know what they do!? So my friends brother is on the scene tending to his friend on the floor who was just slashed by people they did not know. The Police attack the brother, knock him on his head to the ground and arrest him for possession of a hand gun and firing it. Of course he is in a state of shock and panicking... What the Hell, why, why, why? etc... This Kid has no priors (record), a citizen, in school full time and working part time in our Dr. office and has another part time job. He doesnt have a gun, never fired or even held a gun. This kid is the type of guy who does not fit the description other then being a darker skinned black man. So, the cops say the found a gun under a parked car in the area and said a Sanitation worker pointed out the Brother. Immediately while in the back seat of the car and even at the precinct, he was demanding they check his hands for gun residue. They wouldnt do it. They appointed a Free Lawyer to him, rt away before the family could get there which made matters worst! They are holding him at $100,000 bail and they moved him 3 times in 10 days. The Family hired a Lawyer and the Lawyer is surprised that they 1- didnt do a residue check, have no real evidence and did not release him next day and set a bail so high for a 1st offended. (mine you nobody got shot). Now, the school is going to drop him w/o reimbursement and he is going to lose one of his jobs. When they finally release him, do you think the courts will apologize? Reimburse his lost income and tuition? Do you think that the powers that be are trying to pin a case on him for no reason? How do they sleep at night? uuuggghhhh
