I lost my friend إنَّّا لله وإنَّا إليه راجعون I was driving back home from NY when My friend imam Moustafa Zayed called to tell me that he didnt come to his dars in masjid altawheed in Jersey City because he was at ISNA convention. He promised me that he would give his dars this coming Tuesday instead of Sunday. 1 hour later his son called me to say my father died -Moustafa didnt know that he wouldnt be able to fulfill this promise -He didnt know that the Angels of death on their way to him, His son told me he kept saying أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله Many times then he died. I drove to his house and I saw him sleeping in peace لله ما أخذ ولله ما أعطي وكل شئ عند الله لأجل مسمي To Allah we belong and verily, to Him we shall return. ‘o allah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honourable his reception. expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. exchange his home for a better home, and his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. admit him into the garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the fire.’
